The ARRL Handbook is an excellent HANDBOOK, but I would recommend the ARRL
study guides for getting your license. The Novice book (Tune in the World with Ham Radio) is $19 including code cassette tape. The Technician, General,
and Advanced books are $6 each, and the Extra guide is $8.
I agree the ARRL Antenna Book is excellent, one of their best pub's.
